Silver Properties, a short history
Silver Properties began as a partnership between Jeffrey Hautala and Mark Silver in 1975 with a United Farm Franchise (a National Real Estate Franchise Brokerage). The original office was located on Historic Silver Street in Hurley, Wisconsin. During those lean times and limited technology we had to cross the street to the second floor of the Iron Exchange Bank to make copies of documents.
The association with United Farm was successful enough during the next ten years to do three things:
1. Get our own copy machine
2. Become independent with no franchise
3. Move to new offices on Cloverland Drive in Ironwood, Michigan.
Since then, we have been able to bring new salespeople to claim more market share in the Gogebic Range market. We now have gained eight sales people and staff. We claim a large share of the local market.
Silver Properties lists and sells of all types of properties, from vacant land to residential to commercial. Our staff finds time to participate in community affairs, volunteering time to many groups in the Hurley and Ironwood area such as the Ironwood Theatre, Ironwood Schools, Hurley Education Foundation, Iron County Development Zone, Highline Corporation, Ironwood Area Business Professional Women’s Club and many others.
Forty years in business and still going strong.
